The weekend before school was back in session, Miss Roundabout took off on her first trip away from home. It nearly ripped my heart out; I missed her so much. But Washington, DC was calling her name and the thought of playing his cousins was enticing. She gracefully made the 5.5 hour drive with my parents and (mostly) enjoyed her weekend away.

But, she couldn't go off on an adventure without us having a fun date with just the boys. Enter the Greensboro Children's Museum. This place was amazing! A tent and campsite. A real airplane with emergency slide. Air traffic control tower. A construction site with tools. A legoland. A real racecar with real gas pump. A store complete with food, cash registers, and carts. A real fire truck and fire gear. Cape Hatteras lighthouse with a sand area. A real police car. An art zone. A mail zone. A real mail delivery truck and packages. A kitchen and house. A farm. A restaurant. A gymnasium. When their motto says "Growing Curious Minds", they achieved it.

Green Light has dreamt of being an airplane pilot for several months now. He hasn't budged and talks about it constantly. The airplane cockpit with all of it's buttons and wheels was this little boy's dreamland.


And for Curvy Road, the emergency slide off of the airplane was a huge hit! He would run up the steps of the airplane, scurry through the plane, and slide down...again and again.
